Who We Are

ACTION is a network of churches, businesses, and agencies all across Ventura County, serving together. We live out our mission to serve the most vulnerable in our communities by:

• Working with hundreds of agencies to give us insight into areas where volunteers can meet the most pressing needs.
• Empowering volunteers to manifest compassion and service as representatives of their communities.
• Mobilizing thousands of volunteers to serve in projects in their cities throughout the year.
• Raising the awareness of social and economic issues in our county.

Serving the Vulnerable

Our work consists of meeting tangible needs for our neighbors in need. But first, we must ask, who is my neighbor? According to the 2016-2017 Ventura County Bureau of Statistics, seniors, veterans, those with disabilities and those living in poverty make up a disproportionate amount of our population. We are seeking to change these statistics by creating a community of neighbors that care for one another.
